Megan & Michael | Midwest Vineyard Wedding

Megan & Michael had a beautiful July wedding in the countryside of Missouri at Defiance Ridge. They wed at Village Lutheran Church, surrounded by their close family & friends. In the vineyards, they danced the night away and ended it with a fireworks show! There were so many special moments throughout the day and you could feel the love between these two.

What was your wedding day inspiration?

“I had always dreamed of a vineyard wedding, but never thought it possible! Little did I know we had a perfect venue under our noses. My inspiration was the vineyard honestly. My dress was flowing like vines, the look of everything included flowers, fresh colors and classic combinations.”

What was your wedding planning experience like?

“Wedding planning was going well and I knew lots of decisions had to be made a month or two out; taking one step at a time was crucial. When COVID came to the U.S., the planning experience got a lot more stressful! Calls from family, cancellations, and some strong opinions were definitely made; but I’m so thankful we still got to have our dream wedding and that no one got sick!”

Advice to brides that are currently planning their weddings?

“Take things one day at a time! Looking at the big picture when planning a wedding is important, but can be overwhelming. Stay organized and rely on your fiancé to support you when you do feel overwhelmed! As long as you’re together, you can do ANYTHING!”
